Paul C. Wolf

Paul C. Wolf, 49, of Allenton was taken back to his eternal home with God on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, with his wife by his side.

He was born Sept. 30, 1966, in Hartford to Albert and Mildred (nee Langenecker) Wolf. He lived all his life in Allenton in his family home and attended Slinger High School. On Nov. 16, 1996, he married his best friend, Susan “Sue” Gundrum, and they spent more than 19 years together.

Paul had a great love and pride for his family, his three children and wife. They meant everything to him. Paul loved the farm, Sunset Farms, where he grew up and worked all his life. He loved farming so much he visited at least one farm on every vacation his family ever took — a love that shines through his son, Adam. Paul also loved serving his community. He loved being an EMT and firefighter and was honored to be the deputy chief of EMS for 22 years. His dedication to serving the community is evident in all the lives that he has touched in his 29 years on the Allenton Volunteer Fire Department. He recently became a Slinger and Allenton Rotary member. Paul loved and lived his Catholic faith and always knew that God would take care of him and had a great plan for him. His daughters, Emily and Teresa, have embraced that love for God with their faith and parish mission trips. He was so very proud of all the accomplishments that his family made — every one of them.

Paul is survived by his best friend and wife, Susan Wolf; his daughters, Emily and Teresa Wolf; his son, Adam Wolf; his mother, Mildred Wolf; brothers, Ray (Anne), Dan (Ellen) and Bernie (Cindy) Wolf; sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Dukelow, Judy (Don) Lesmeister and Linda (Milt) Luka; parents- in-law, Ron (Cathy) Gundrum; brothers-in-law, Rich and Tim (fiance, Candice) Gundrum; sisters-in-law, Carol (Josh) Hawig, Linda (Charles) Edwards and Pam Gundrum; and Emily’s host parents and family in Norway, Sture (Eli) Aundunson Nome and Jose (Sissel) Sandberg Jorquera. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his hero, his Dad, Albert Wolf.
