Lisa M. Poncek, 45, of the town of Spirit, died at her home Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, surrounded by her family while under the care of Flambeau Home Health Care and Hospice.
She was born Oct. 15, 1970, in Port Washington, the daughter of Robert and Joyce (Lemcke) Oelhafen. She spent her early life in Random Lake and Hartford before making her home in the Prentice area as a child. She attended Prentice High School.
Following high school, she was employed at Biewer’s Saw Mill, then as a CNA at local nursing homes for a number of years prior to ill health forcing her to retire.
She was married to Willard Poncek on Dec. 10, 1988. They later divorced.
She is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Poncek of Chelsea, and Krisstie (Alen) Wolf of Saukville; her mother, Joyce Zolmierski of Prentice; her special friend, Jeff Pinkerton of Spirit; two brothers, Terry Oelhafen of Ogema and Tim (Betty) Oelhafen of Brantwood; and two sisters, Tammy Rowe of Westboro and Annette (Ricky) Click of Kinderville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Oelhafen; stepfather, Allen Zolmierski; her grandparents; and by two uncles Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at the Westboro VFW Hall, Westboro.
A memorial fund has been established.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice is in charge of the arrangements.
