Steve Leverenz, 58, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center from pulmonary fibrosis while surrounded by his loving family and close friends.
Steve was born June 15, 1957. He attended Decorah Elementary School, Badger Middle School and West Bend West High School, graduating in 1975. During high school, he lettered in four sports and became an Eagle Scout. Steve received a BSME from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in December 1979.
Steve will be greatly missed by his wife, Joan, and his children, Shane, Erin and Megan, all of Minnesota. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Wayne) Scott of Texas, Caryn (Dave) Miller of Missouri, and Lynn (Bill) Benn of Wisconsin. Steve was a proud uncle to Rachel and Leah Benn, Austin and Garrett Scott, and Alec and Rylee Miller. He is further survived by his father, John, and extended family and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Leverenz (Dottai).
