Russell F. Strobel, 42
March 14, 1973 — Jan. 19, 2016
Russell F. Strobel, 42, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
He was born March 14, 1973, to Albert and Karen (nee Schumacher) Strobel. Russ was united in marriage to Connie Deprey on Aug. 19, 1995, in Jackson.
Russ loved racing and working on cars. He frequently could be found in the garage working on odd projects. He also loved to collect Volkswagens and old toys. Russ’ favorite holiday was Halloween and his home was always the most decked out in the neighborhood so everyone knew it was his. Russ’ family and friends attest that he was the most kind-hearted individual and was full of endless ideas for projects. He cared deeply for those who were close to him. He battled and overcame cancer three times in his life, however, it took a toll on him. He is no longer suffering and is with God and family who preceded him.
Russ is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his beloved children, Tyler and Bailey; his mother, Karen Tronecker; his brother, Al Strobel; stepbrother and stepsisters; and nieces and nephews. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Strobel; stepfather, William Tronecker; brother, Fred Strobel; and nephew, Nathan Strobel.
Funeral services for Russ will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027) with the Rev. Douglas Stowe officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends Monday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions received will be placed in an education fund for Russ’ children, and are greatly appreciated.
