Dennis J. Dzemske, 62, of Sacramento, California, found peace Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, unexpectedly after battling a brief illness.

He was born March 1, 1953, to Edward and Elaine (nee Jeske) Dzemske in Milwaukee. Dennis always made life interesting. He excelled at playing the drums and was in several local rock groups. They even won a battle of the bands contest. Dennis had a great sense of humor. He was known for telling jokes, which came easily to him. Dennis lived a very simple, quiet and happy life. He loved to watch superhero, action and comedy movies. He had a very fun personality. Everyone who met Dennis never forgot him. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Those Dennis leave behind to cherish his memory include his mother, Elaine Dzemske; daughter, Leah (Steven) Deming; two grandchildren, Logan Deming and Katelyn Deming; four brothers, Eddie Dzemske, Todd (Jessica) Dzemske, Mark (Iris) Dzemske and Rick Dzemske; four sisters, Diane (Dennis) Hambly, Dawn (Dale) Klumb, Candy (Salvador) Ameneyro and Tracy (Keith) Kruse; former wife, Carol Dzemske; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Dzemske, and grandmother, Alyce Schmidt.

A private family service in remembrance of Dennis will be held.
