Robert E. Dunlap, 86, of Hartford, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at his home.

He was born Oct. 19, 1929, to Fred and Cena (nee Johnson) Dunlap in West Salem. He was united in marriage to Lois Scott on Dec. 1, 1956.

Robert was an intellect and worked his way to the deanís list at the University of Wisconsin; he had a deep passion for politics and was very patriotic. Robert worked for more than 25 years at Broan-Nutone in Hartford. He was a member of the Hartford Lions Club and held every office available. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing and anything to do with the railroad.

He is survived by his loving children, Diane (Gary) Chapman and Gregory Dunlap, and grandchildren, Matthew (Katie), Michelle (Jacky), Nicholas, Melanie and Jonathan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois in 2012; son, Jeffery; and his siblings, Richard, Rex, Norma, Ralph, and Rose.

Memorial services for Robert will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027) with the Rev. Jeremy Deaner officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Shimon Funeral Home.

Inurnment will be in in Pleasant Hill Cemetery Hartford.
