Donna M. Loew, 69, of Colgate, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
She was born Feb. 26, 1946, in Wisconsin to Emanuel and Anna (nee Henke) Loew. Donna owned and operated “Donna’s Tap Scenic North Plat Bar” in the village of Richfield for more than 47 years. In 1968, she took over the bar from her parents, who built it 80 years ago.
Donna enjoyed listening to old country western songs, and playing cribbage and sheepshead cards. She loved tending bar, going to casinos and going up north, and she treasured her dogs. She will be remembered as being a good-hearted person and will be dearly missed.
Donna is survived by several loving cousins and dear friends. She was preceded by her parents and her special friend, George Fraley.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Donna will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church (1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, WI 53033) with the Rev. David Cooper officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the church.
Interment will be in St. Paul’s U.C.C Cemetery in the town of Erin.
