Don W. Enstrom, age 89, of Neshkoro, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home. He was born on Sept. 4, 1926, in Menominee, Mich., a son of Harry C. and Albina (Duford) Enstrom.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Japan. On Sept.
17, 1949, in Menominee, Don and Doris Murach were united in marriage.
Don had worked for many years as a warranty analyst for Tecumseh Products in Grafton. He enjoyed writing letters and emails to his family and friends.
He took great pride in organizing and attending reunions for the U.S. Army 304 Signal Corp. in Yokohama, Japan. Don also enjoyed telling stories and singing to his grandchildren. He was a carpenter, putting his talent to work in the family cottage near Neshkoro, fixing it up and turning it into their home.
Don is survived by his wife, Doris Enstrom of Berlin; four children: Carol (Tim) Mann-Lindsay of Neshkoro, Gregory (Cindy) Enstrom of Sequim, Wash., Peter (Karen) Enstrom of Menomonee Falls and Michael (Pam) Enstrom of Grafton; six grandchildren: Colleen (Grant) Billings, Kelly (Rob) Block, Kristen (Josh) Marx, Warren Enstrom, Terra (Omar) Enstrom-Ortega and Branden Enstrom; three great-grandchildren: Graham Billings, Megan Block and Ashley Block; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Albina Enstrom, and his brother, Robert Enstrom.
There will be a graveside service for Donald W. Enstrom on Tuesday, March 15, at 11 a.m., at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Neshkoro.
