Dorothea Agnes Bremser, 97
June 28, 1918 — May 22, 2016
Dorothea Agnes Bremser (nee Brodzeller), 97, passed away peacefully May 22, 2016. She was born to Arnold and Lydia (nee Wild) Brodzeller on June 28, 1918, in Lomira. She married the late Lloyd Bremser on April 21, 1941, and together they had one child.
Despite her difficult upbringing, Dorothea counted herself as fortunate. She was always giving of herself to help others in need. Gardening and baking were among her passions in life and sharing those things with her family and friends brought her great happiness. Dorothea’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Dorothea is survived by her son, Bill (Carol) Bremser; grandchildren, Becky Bremser and Matt (Erin) Bremser; great-grandchildren, Liam and Chloe; brother, Jerome Brodzeller; sisters, Mary Jane Jensen, Fran Sandberg and Pat Behnke; brother-in-law, Leo Mueller; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, four brothers, a sister and several in-laws. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI) with Deacon Mark Jansen presiding. The visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Private family interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
Memorials to the Washington County Humane Society (3650 Highway 60, Slinger, WI 53086) are appreciated.
