Theodore J. “Ted” Hosp, of North Wayne, Pennsylvania, passed away May 13, 2016.

Ted was born at his family home in West Bend on July 21, 1933. He was the second of five children and graduated from high school in three years so he could start working on the family farm. After serving in the Air Force as a flight engineer, he graduated with an electrical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin and began a long, successful career at General Electric. While at GE, he began a program of study that led to a Ph.D, which he completed all but dissertation. He was married for almost 54 years.

 He enjoyed his family, projects in his Victorian home and his prolific home garden. He was also active for years in the North Wayne Civic Association, living in his home in Wayne, Pennsylvania, for 46 years.

He was the beloved husband of Vija (Brunins); father of Christina Hosp Burrow and Jennifer Hosp Galasso; and is also survived by six grandchildren, his brother, Pete Hosp and sisters, Darlyne Rauh and Diann Fritsch.

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 21, at Wayne Presbyterian Church (125 E. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087). There will be a private internment. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be named to Wayne Presbyterian Church.

The Stuard Funeral Home of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, is assisting the family.
