Ardythe L. Koteski, 87
April 11, 1929 — June 6, 2016
Mrs. Ardy Koteski, formerly of Neenah, passed away at Lasata Care Center
in Cedarburg early Monday morning, June 6, 2016. She was 87 years old.
Ardythe was born in Appleton on April 11, 1929, daughter of Arthur and
Mary Paton Guthu. She grew up in Neenah and graduated from Neenah High
School in 1947. On May 20, 1950, she was united in marriage with Richard
Koteski at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Menasha. The couple settled
in Neenah and started their family. Mrs. Koteski worked as a bakery
clerk at the Park ‘n Market, retiring in 1994 after almost 25 years on
the job. Ardy and Richard moved to Cedarburg in 2009 to be closer to
Ardy was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah. She was an
avid shopper and enjoyed knitting and camping. She was a generous soul,
and liked helping others.
Mrs. Koteski is survived by her husband,
Richard, of Cedarburg; their four children, Mary Jo (Mike) Martin of
Atlanta, Ann (Rick) Carey of Lake City, Fla., Jody (Wayne) Reckard of
Cedarburg and David Koteski of Elm Grove. She is further survived by
four grandchildren, James, Leann, Dan and Dana; two great-grandchildren,
Corlan and Tatum; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She
is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Hellen Christianson
and June Steinbarth.
The family will receive visitors at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8 in
the chapel at Lasata Care Center, W76 N677 Wauwatosa Road, Cedarburg,
followed by a brief prayer service at 3:15 p.m. She will be laid to rest
at a later date in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to Lasata Care Center.
