Sylvia L. Driscoll, 86
June 27, 1929 — June 11, 2016

Sylvia L. Driscoll (nee Moldenhauer), 86, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Celia’s Home in West Bend. She was born June 27, 1929, in Milwaukee to Ervin and Agnes (nee Pavelko) Moldenhauer. Sylvia and her husband Gerald “Jerry” Driscoll built their home and moved to West Bend in 1957, where they raised their two children.

Sylvia was a wonderful mom and mother-in-law, and a very special, fun-loving “Nana” who cherished her three grandchildren. She was an avid reader, crafter, picture-taker, spectacular cake-baker and seamstress.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Mike) Berend and her son, Terry (Mary) Driscoll, and their three children Angi (special friend Robert) of Jacksonville, Florida, Ryan (fiancée Amy) of Pewaukee and John of Madison. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Scribbins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially those she worked with in childcare at the YMCA.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband Gerald “Jerry” Driscoll; her siblings, Annie (Joe) Butsch, Jean Falk, Mary (Elmer) Moldenhauer, Vicki (Jerry) Sworske and John (Dorothy) Wargo; and her brother-in-law, Jim Scribbins.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, 53095) with the Rev. David Schoob presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until the start of the service at 4 p.m. Private entombment will take place at a later date at Washington County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church (140 N. Seventh Ave., West Bend, WI 53095), Celia’s Home (330 Arbor Point Ave., West Bend, WI 53095) and/or Season’s Hospice & Palliative Care (6737 W. Washington St., Suite 2150, West Allis, WI 53214).

The family would like to sincerely thank Paige and the staff of Celia’s Home for their caring, compassionate care of Sylvia, as well as the staff of the Season’s Hospice and Palliative Care.

We love you Nana … “Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!”
