Agnes Caroline Lambert, 102
Agnes Caroline Lambert (nee Storlie) died peacefully June 28, 2016, at the age of 102 years in Milwaukee. She was born Aug. 25, 1913, in Deerfield to George and Josephine Storlie, with six siblings. Agnes graduated from Deerfield High School in 1931, moved to Madison then Milwaukee, where she met and married Samuel A. Lambert on June 22, 1935. They had two children, Barbara Kay Wolter and Richard, who survive.
Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- and great-great grandmother who loved entertaining all of the family at traditional gatherings and holidays. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, reading and writing lengthy letters to all, including many relatives in Norway. She moved to Big Cedar Lake in Slinger in 1995 where she was a volunteer teacher aide and library reader in the Slinger schools.
Agnes is survived by her children, Richard (Marlene) Lambert of Ontonagon, Michigan, and Barbara (Robert) Wolter of Menomonee Falls; grandchildren, Claire (John) Duncan of West Bend, Jennifer (Charles) Schmeling of Slinger, Patricia Wolter of Menomonee Falls, Peter (Kimberly) Wolter of Wisconsin Rapids, Amy (Thomas) Leyden of Plymouth, Craig Lambert of Ontonagon, Michigan, and Anne Lambert of Madison; siblings Hazel Keller of Deerfield, Ramon (Beverly) Storlie of Deerfield, and Jerome Storlie of Madison; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel; sisters, Myrtle Nordness and Bessie Shaul; brother, Gordon; and parents, George and Josephine.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (3970 N. 92nd St., Milwaukee) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., and burial at Wood National Cemetery.
