Mary J. Tapp, 77, of Ixonia, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
She was born March 20, 1939, to Helmuth and Marie (nee Herman) Thurow in Hartford.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Tapp on Nov. 19, 1961, at St. Paulís church in Neosho.
Mary enjoyed watching baseball and putting together puzzles. She loved helping people whenever she could and especially liked spoiling her nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Allen (Janet) Thurow, Dale Thurow, Joyce (Mike) Beckwith, Earl Thurow, Jane (Dave) Pluim and Eddie (Jane) Thurow. Mary is further survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by his parents; her husband, Gerald in 1973; and sisters, Judy and Joan.
A memorial service for Mary will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, with a service at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ashippun (N1245 Saint Johnís Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066).
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family, St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Ashippun, or a charity of oneís choice are appreciated.
