Warren R. Stumpe, 91
Warren R. Stumpe, Colonel, U.S. Army, retired. Warren Robert Stumpe was born in New York City on July 15, 1925. He left us on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at the age of 91 years.
Beloved husband of Lois (nee Henschel). Loving father of Jeffrey (Melanie) Stumpe of Milwaukee, Kathy Stumpe of Brentwood, Calif., and William Stumpe of Colorado Springs, Colo. Proud grandfather of Adam and Ian Stumpe and Kayley, Julia, Alexa and Kinsey Stumpe and great-grandchildren Olivia and Sophia Stumpe.
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Warren was a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point. He received Master’s degrees from both Cornell University and New York University and an Honorary Doctor of Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was vice president, research and technology and chief technical officer at Rexnord Inc. from 1971 to 1987, and vice president of Radian Corp. from 1987 to 1990. He served on the boards of directors for numerous corporations. He also served as an alderman for the city of Mequon and a supervisor for the Ozaukee County Board. Warren was a 45-year member and past president of Ozaukee Country Club, a member of the Wisconsin Club and a member of the West Point Society of Wisconsin.
