Richard G. ‘Dick’ Hoffman,

Richard G. “Dick” Hoffman, of Cedarburg, was born to eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at the age of 86 years.
Dick was born on May 7, 1930, in Oshkosh, the son of the late Edward Hoffman and the late Helen (nee Morgan) Hoffman. His family relocated to the Milwaukee area, where he attended and graduated from Boys Tech High School. Years later, Dick was united in marriage to Leona Huettel and their marriage was blessed with two sons, David and Carl.
Dick served his country in the United States Marine Corps and he was also a member of the Peter Wollner American Legion Post #288, of Cedarburg, for over 40 years.
Dick worked as a carpenter, constructing many commercial and residential buildings and homes throughout his years of service. He was a union carpenter for over 45 years. In his down time, Dick was an avid fisherman and hunter. He truly enjoyed spending time in nature and appreciated all of God’s creatures.
Dick is survived by his two sons, Dave (Jennifer) Hoffman and Carl (Jill) Hoffman; grandchildren, Keith Hoffman, Kelly Hoffman and Venessa Hoffman; a great-grandson, Antonio Beers; and siblings, Janice Huckaby and Lawrence Hoffman. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Leona (nee Huettel) Hoffman.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at 1 p.m. at First Immanuel Lutheran Church (W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd.), in Cedarburg. He will be in state on Friday, at the church, from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Dick will be laid to rest next to his wife, Leona, at Immanuel Cemetery, in Cedarburg.
