Eveline Kohl (nee Duerrwachter) of Richfield went peacefully to see her maker Sept. 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83.
She was the loving wife of John for 63 years; loving mother of Terry (Elizabeth), Tom (Diane) and Tammy (Terry O’Grady); cherished grandmother of Bobbi, Andy (Kathleen), Matthew, Jacob, Ryan, Natalie (Mario) Sanfilippo, Brandon (Reina) and Michael; and loving great-grandmother of Jenna, Drew, Cole, Eveline and John. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Schulteis and brother- in-law, Ed Laubenheimer.
She is further survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Eveline was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Ida Duerrwachter; sisters, Doris Laubenheimer and Mildred Jung; sister-in-law, Loretta Fleischmann; and brothers-in-law, Albert Schulteis, Joe Jung and Erwin Fleischmann.
Eveline was active in her community; she was the Richfield Parade Chair for many years and was active with the Lions and Lioness clubs. In 2015 she was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. She was also active with St. Boniface Church and the Richfield Volunteer Fire Department in her earlier years.
Visitation will be at St. Boniface Catholic Church (W204 N11924 Goldendale Road, Germantown, WI) on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 3-6 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Boniface or the Richfield Lions Club are appreciated. Burial will be private for the family.
