Rudolph John Mudroch, 82
November 11, 1933 ó September 3, 2016
Rudolph John Mudroch passed away peacefully on September 3, 2016. He lived in West Bend, previously a longtime resident of Fredonia. John, as he was known, was born in Milwaukee on November 11, 1933 to County Judge Rudolph Mudroch and his wife Hattie.
John was preceded in death by his first wife of 49 years, Margaret, and one of his grandchildren, Jonathan. John remarried and is survived by his loving wife, Marion; his 10 children, Jim, Joe, Steve, John, Tom, Bob, Dave, Kathy, Margaret and Anne, and their spouses; and Marionís children, Cindy and Randy, and their spouses; as well as numerous grandchildren.
John attended Marquette High School and Marquette University where he earned his J.D. in Law. He served in the U.S. Army then moved back to Milwaukee and eventually, in 1969, settled in Fredonia where he became a pillar of the community. In addition to having law offices in Fredonia and Grafton, John was active in local volunteer activities. Among many things, he was instrumental in establishing the Fredonia Lions Club, was a volunteer board member of the Northern Ozaukee Scholarship Foundation and was a president of the Waubeka Flag Day organization. John was widely known as a gentleman whose jokes would make listeners both groan and smile. He loved being surrounded by his family and allowed his children to pursue their own interests. He would show up at every one of their events that he possibly could. His love of gardening, fishing and playing cards was taught to him by his father and he passed this onto his children.
Visitation and the funeral are Sept. 6, 2016 at the Catholic Church in Holy Cross (Renamed to Divine Savior). Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Cedar Community in West Bend.
Johnís family wants to thank all of his friends and those at the hospital care facilities for all of their support.
