Hal David Midkiff, 75, of West Bend, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 7, 2016.

Hal was born July 2, 1941, in West Hamlin, West Virginia, the son of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Bills) Midkiff. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division. Hal enjoyed his job with Day or Nite Services where he was a driver for the last 12 years. They were like a second family to him. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Hal is survived by seven children, Greg (Linda), Steve (Carla), Melinda, Kris (James), Kerrie, Lisa (Wayne) and Laura; 15 grandchildren; and three brothers, Harvey (Maryann), Richard (Betty) and Jerry (Karen).

In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his sisters, Violet, Beatrice, Roma, Sarah and Glenna, and two brothers, Hampton and Glen.

A funeral service for Hal will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St., West Bend) with the Rev. Joe McAlpine officiating.

Halís family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
