Gary M. Loos of Grafton passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, surrounded by his family, at the age of 72.
Gary was born in Chicago on May 2, 1944, to the late Allen V. and Lorraine (nee Horback) Loos. He married Jorjan (nee Karabon) on Aug. 4, 1984, at Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Gary was passionate about volunteering and forming relationships through Habitat for Humanity locally and internationally. He also found joy serving at Crossroads Presbyterian Church as a deacon and in the SHED Ministry.
Gary is survived by his wife, Jorjan of Grafton; his children, Laura (John) Laundrie of Whitefish Bay, Zachary (Natasha) Loos of Mequon, Sarah (Chad) Thompson of Round Rock, Texas, and Laura (Jeremy) Hutchings of Fox Point; his brothers, Thomas (Joy) Loos of Cedarburg and Steven (Georgene) Loos of Lindenhurst, Ill.; and his sister, Judith Loos of Madison. He is further survived by nine grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Road, Mequon. Family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and at the reception following the service from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Habitat for Humanity or Crossroads Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated.
