James H. Heppe, “Kooner,” 66, passed away peacefully at The Kathy Hospice on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. He was born to Robert and Dolores (nee Sonnenberg) Heppe on March 10, 1950. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1966.
Jim is survived by his two sons, Jason and Nic; two grandsons, Evan and Izaac; his mother, Dolores; and two sisters, his best friend Luann Klodzki and Mardell (Charles) Bernarde. He is further survived by a niece and a nephew.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert. Jim was known as “Kooner” to his friends. He owned his own siding business in the area for many years. He had a saying about work: “I go to work to live, I don’t live to go to work … live your life!” Kooner was an avid hunter. He loved the outdoors and being with his friends.
The family would like to thank all the friends who helped Kooner these past years.
Kooner’s celebration of life will be held from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Moonlighting.
