Dr. Edward G. Holtman passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend at the age of 92.
He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Kenosha, the son of Jacob and Florence (nee Nelson) Holtman. He had a passion for helping people and practicing chiropractic health care for 48 years. He was a great father and grandfather, and he will be deeply missed. He had a great sense of humor, loved big band music and played drums with bands in his younger days. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Campaign.
He is survived by his loving children, Gaile (Robert) Hanson of Slinger and David (Marcia) Holtman of Hartford; five precious grandchildren; 17 loving great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Florence Holtman of Kenosha; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Delores in 2014, his son Scott in 1964, two brothers, and one sister-in-law.
A memorial service is 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the First United Methodist Church in Hartford. The Rev. Dr. Paul Johnsen will officiate. Family will receive relatives and friends from 2-5 p.m. at church. There will be a private Interment.
