Gordon J. Kazda, 92, of Evansville, passed away Nov. 11, 2016, at The Kelly House, Evansville.
Gordon was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Milladore to Joseph and Rosalie Kazda. He was employed as manager of the Union Cooperative for 25 years and was an active member of the community. After retirement, he became engaged, along with his wife, Edythe, in making pottery. They practiced this craft for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edythe, and his son, Gordon David, as well as his parents and siblings.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathleen Kazda (Joe Schwartz), his daughter, Elon Kazda (Gerrit Conger), and his brother, Irvin Kazda (Darlys), as well as nieces and nephews and their children.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home of Evansville with the Rev. John Bauernfeind of Northbrook Church officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. Military Rites provided by VFW Post 6905, Evansville.
A visitation will be held from noon until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
