Corliss M. Fassbinder (nee Dekker), of West Bend, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at the Red Cedar Canyon Health Care Center in Hudson at the age of 84. She was born May 31, 1932, in Plymouth to Rudolph and Esther (nee Conrad) Dekker.
On Sept. 1, 1952, she was united in marriage to George E. Fassbinder at Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Corliss almost lived her entire life in West Bend where she was employed at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital as an LPN for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed homemaking and in her spare time she enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, needle work, knitting and crocheting.
She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a charter member of Hon-E-Kor Country Club.
Corliss is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Cherie) of Longmont, Colorado, and John (Maureen) of Hudson; four grandchildren, Katie (Ben) Scarbrough, Brian (Crystal), Molly and Jenny; three great-grandchildren, Ella Scarbrough, Mary Grace and Luke Fassbinder; two sisters- in-law, Luella Dekker of West Bend and Jane Parvin of West Bend; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Esther Dekker; her husband, George Fassbinder on May 27 of this year; one brother, Earl Dekker; one sister, Viola (Robert) Dabringer; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Parvin, Kenneth Fassbinder and Robert Fassbinder; and three nephews, Kenneth Parvin, Michael Parvin and Jim Dabringer.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 3, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. The family will greet visitors from 11-11:45 a.m. Memorials to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund are appreciated.
