April 20, 1955 — Dec. 5, 2016
Georgianna would like to let you know her work here is done. She received a call to teach in a much larger classroom “heaven” where music, laughter and love are guaranteed. But please remember she will be a part of each of you forever.
Georgianna Cooper, 61, of Fond du Lac, passed away from pneumonia Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Frodert Memorial Hospital Wauwatosa. She was born April 20, 1955, in Green Bay, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen Wallace. She married Donald Cooper on Aug. 3, 1974, in Waupun. She was a 1982 graduate of Gateway Technical College in Kenosha as a licensed practical nurse. She was the 1985 Wisconsin Nursing Home Employee of the year. With the birth of her children, she found her passion and love of teaching. Her teaching career began with first and second grade at St. Mary’s in Eden. For the past 18 years, she was a staff member of Hartford Joint 1 School district, most recently at Lincoln Elementary teaching third grade. She was always positive and created an atmosphere of trust, respect and motherly love to all that met her, especially children. When you added her low-key humor, this gave students a healthy, infectious desire to learn.

As she wished, community service will be a celebration of life picnic next summer.
