Dorothy E. Beine, 91

Dorothy E. Beine (nee Ebert) has traveled into eternal life Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at the age of 91. She was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 7, 1925, to the proud parents of Alfred and Anna (nee Duprey) Ebert. Dorothy married Raymond A. Beine on Nov. 24, 1945, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee and had 54 years of togetherness until his death Dec. 6, 1999.

Dorothy was a graduate of Girls Trade and Technical High School in Milwaukee. She took a position in the clerical department of Wisconsin Telephone Co. following high school graduation. After her marriage, she continued her education and received a teaching certificate from Mount Mary’s College from Archbishop Cousins to teach religious education to the second-graders and to bring them to the Lord’s Table. During her lifetime, she worked side-by-side with her husband as secretary and business owner. In addition to that, she served her community with the Red Cross, was coordinator for Meals on Wheels for the Hartford Memorial Hospital, bingo program coordinator at Senior Friends and also served on the Board of Directors at Senior Friends. She gave of her time to St. Patrick’s Altar Society, the Inter-Faith of West Bend, St. Vincent De Paul as treasurer, the American Legion Auxiliary as treasurer and program chairman, and finally a volunteer for Angel’s Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

She lived by the motto of helping others and never saying “No.”

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Brad and Ryan (Dagmara); two grandchildren, Zuza and Fin; and sister-in-law, Mary Beine of Hartford. She is further survived by godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Raymond.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday, Jan. 24, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the church.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Neosho.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude’s are appreciated.
