James V. Spott, 88, of West Bend, was called home to heaven Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at Ivy Manor in West Bend.
He was born March 5, 1928, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Frank and Madeline (nee Vaughn) Spott and on June 9, 1951, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Kubera at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
James will fondly be remembered for his love of the outdoors. James and Lorraine traveled and spent their winters in Arizona. While in Wisconsin he loved to garden and, most importantly, spend time with his family.

James was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Thomas (Marcia) Kubera.
A Memorial Mass for James will be held at noon Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. Eighth Ave., West Bend) with the Rev. Jerry Repenshek officiating.
The Spott family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Lorraine would like to extend her heartfelt appreciation to her family and all those who helped during this time.
