Lorraine F. Stucke, 96, found peace Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. She was born Nov. 21, 1920, in the town of Herman to Edward and Rose (Hauser) Christ. Lorraine was united in marriage to Walter Stucke on June 13, 1942. She worked at Krueger Studio and later at Robertís Shoe Store.
Lorraine volunteered for more than 25 years as a Pink Lady at Hartford Hospital.
She was an auxiliary member with the American Legion and Daughters of Isabella. Lorraine enjoyed tending to her garden, playing cards and especially spending time with her family.
Lorraine is survived by two children, Keith (Jean) Stucke and Mary (Jim) Pfalzgraf; five grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer), Kevin (Missy), Sean (Rachel) Stucke, Michelle (Dan) Kohn and Scott (Gina) Pfalzgraf; 11 great-grandchildren, Sienna, Alex, Gabriella, Kaylie, Jacob, Kendal, Dominic, Katelyn, Dylan, TJ and Jordan; and two sisters, Rose Lechner and Delores Margelofsky; one brother, Marvin (Shirley) Christ. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; and sister, Marcella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Thursdays, Feb. 23, at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 W. State St., Hartford) with the Rev. David LaPlante officiating. Visitation is at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the donorís choice.
