Jan. 7, 1941 — Feb. 13, 2017
Kathleen Alice Neumann (nee Shaw), 76, of the town of Saukville, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. She was born Jan. 7, 1941, to the late Robert and Violet Shaw in La Crosse.
For many years, Kathleen worked as a health unit coordinator at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in West Bend until her retirement.
Kathleen loved wild birds. She made sure the feeders on her deck and in her yard were full yearlong. Her loving attention attracted many different species. She also found peace in the fact that she has done her part in getting Donald J. Trump elected in keeping with her conservative values.
She is survived by her three sons, Steven, John III and Robert; two daughters, Sandra (Paul) Verkuilen and Andrea (Paul) Merkt; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is further survived by her sister, Colleen (Virgil) Roberts of La Crescent, Minnesota.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John II; her sister, Theresa Greeno; and her brother, Thomas.
The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m.12:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorials for the benefit of the family are appreciated.
Kathleen’s family would like to thank the Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County, the staff of Cedar Community Rehabilitation Center and the staff of Fresenius Kidney Care in West Bend.
