Daniel R. Reindl, 69, of Wabasha, Minnesota, formerly of Kewaskum, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Pepin Health and Rehab Facility in Pepin. He was born April 30, 1947, in West Bend and raised in nearby Kewaskum, the son of Allen and Louisanna (Boegel) Reindl. He married Elizabeth Brust on Nov. 20, 1971, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger. Daniel worked
26 years as a receiving clerk for Great Lakes Packaging in Germantown, and then seven years at Kolbe & Kolbe in Wausau. He retired in 2011.
They recently moved to Wabasha to be near the Mississippi River, which they loved.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Reindl of Wabasha, Minnesota; daughter and son-inlaw, Nicole and Patrick Lavoie of San Antonio; son, Neal Reindl of Merrill; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pau and Verna Reindl of Kewaskum, John and Gloria Reindl of Kewaskum, Joseph Reindl of West Bend, and Edward Reindl of Union Grove; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Bob Bingham of Tucson, Arizona; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina Van Vorous; his parents, Allen and Louisanna Reindl; and brother, Raymond Reindl.
A funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Society of St. Pius X Holy Angels Novitiate (21077 Quarry Hill Road, Winona, MN) with the Rev. Father Kenneth Dean officiating. Interment will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery adjacent to the church. Casket bearers will be Neal Reindl, Patrick Lavoie, Chris Lavoie and Andrew Van Vorous.
Family and friends may call at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Wednesday from 3:30-7 p.m., at which time the rosary will be recited, and they may call at the church Thursday one hour before the Mass.
