Marilyn was born in Milwaukee, on Sept. 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles Straube and the late Adeline (nee Ebert) Straube.
Marilyn worked at Koss Corporation in Milwaukee, for the majority of her career. Once she moved to Grafton, she worked at Grafton State Bank.
Marilyn was also an active member and volunteer for a number of years at Grafton Dells River Park.
Marilyn enjoyed gambling and playing slot machines. She also loved to attend German festivals, and had a passion for the outdoors. However, she loved her family, and spending time with them was most important to her.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Michael) Jones and Pam (Gary) Farkas; grandchildren, Hayley Awe and Nicole Uyehara, and great-grandchild, Riley. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Straube, sister, Mona Tews and special friend, Bruno Arndt.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Cedar Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg, and to Julie and Erica of Horizon Home Care & Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Marilyn and her family.
Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory in Grafton assisted the family with arrangements.
