Irving E. Carlson II passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, Feb.
17, 2017, at the age of 70. Irv was born Nov. 4, 1946, in Michigan, to Irving E. and Margaret (nee Bennett) Carlson and was the oldest of four children.
Irv is survived by his loving mother, Margaret; three sisters, Sandra Novinska, Paula (Gordon) Sorensen and Bonnie (Doug) Hord; his children, Killy (Tom) Mueller, Irving E. Carlson III (Micky) and Aaron Carlson; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Irv was preceded in death by his father, Irving E. Carlson and his wife, Sandra.
Irv served in the United States Army and was a member of the Shriners and Port Washington Lions Club. He met many, many wonderful and valued friends in his walk of life. After serving his country, Irv worked at A.O. Smith Corporation before becoming a professional and well-liked bartender at a variety of establishments in Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties, including Numero Uno’s, Calderone Club, Pitch’s, Miss Katie’s Diner, Jimmy D’s and Juice’s Ghost Town. He was also the proud former owner of the Wilson House.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Pitch’s Lounge and Restaurant, 1801 N. Humboldt Ave., Milwaukee WI 53202. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
