Jerry Friesch, 89|
Jerry Friesch of Mequon passed away peacefully
surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 10, 2017, at the age of 89
Jerry’s marriage and family were the center of his life. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School where he excelled in basketball and track, earning the W Club award. He served in the U.S. Navy after high school.
Jerry attended the University of Wisconsin, where he was a of the
Alpha Delta Phi fraternity, graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor of Business degree. He spent his professional career in the corrugated box business, culminating in 1961 as a cofounder and President of Great Lakes Packaging. He was 58-year member and former elder at Crossroads Presbyterian Church. Jerry loved traveling with Susann, family and friends, especially to England, Scotland and Longboat Key, Fla. He loved attending his family’s sporting events. He loved golf and was a 43-year member of Ozaukee Country Club. Jerry will always be remembered as a loving, ethical and humble husband, father and son.
Visitation Saturday April 8 from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Presbyterian Church in the Fireside Lounge, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Crossroads Presbyterian Church or Aurora Hospice Care - Zilber Family Hospice, 1155 Honey Creek Parkway, Wauwatosa, WI 53213 appreciated.
