Monica A. Schulz,
Monica A. Schulz (nee Watry), 79, of West Bend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Ivy Manor.
Monica was born in Dacada on Nov. 10, 1937, to Jacob and Margaret (nee Lesch) Watry. She attended Port Washington High School and later Alverno College. Monica married James A. Schulz on Feb. 1, 1958. The couple was the owner and operator of Schulz Realty and Schulz Homes. She was the first woman president of the Washington County Board of Realtors, member and president of the Lions Club of West Bend. Monica enjoyed spending time at their cottage, traveling, golfing, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Her Catholic faith was of great importance in Monica’s life.
Monnie was the beloved wife of Jim; loving mother of Dale (Fran), Lynn (Bob) Ward, Karen (Jim) Lutz, Kay (Jim) Beilke, Brian (Laura) and daughter-in-law Suzanne Propoggio; cherished grandmother of Heidi (Joe) Spingola, Kristina (Matt) Buettner, James and Kimberli Ward, Joclyn (Ben) Anderson, Joe (Katelyn) Lutz and Megan Lutz, Allen, Jason and Elizabeth Beilke, Zachary and Jacob Schulz, Hannah and Hayley Schulz; great-grandchildren, Avlynn and William Spingola, and Ethan Schulz; siblings, Dolores Toc, Rosemary Pozy, her twin Mildred (John) Lanser, Catherine Kearn, Ginny (Richard) Junge and Susie (Tim) Newman; siblings-in-law, Doris Watry, Carol Watry and Ervin Karrels; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dean; grandson, Joshua; and siblings, Agnes Egerer, Eugene Watry, Richard Watry, infant Robert Watry, Walter Watry, Ralph Watry, Elaine Karrels, Janice Phillips and Janet Hogan.
A funeral service will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with Chaplain Ron Schneider presiding.
Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 3 p.m. until time of service (5:30 p.m.). Memorials are appreciated to the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation (10427 W. Lincoln Ave., West Allis, WI 53227).
