Lucille Brunner, 83, of Fredonia, died in the afternoon Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home, The Woodland View Assisted Living Facility of Fredonia.
She was born in Washington County on Feb. 20, 1934, to the late Joseph and Louise (nee Reitmeier) Goeppert. Lucille married Vincent "Shorty"
Brunner on April 26, 1952, and settled in Fredonia to raise their family. Through the years, she worked several different jobs to help support her family. Lucille enjoyed rummage sales, gardening, and sharing her produce with family, friends and her doctors.
Lucille is survived by her children, Virginia (Mike) Lamb of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Jerome "Mouse" (Nancy) of Random Lake, Ray (Cheri) of Porterfield and daughter-in-law Bev Brunner of Cedar Grove. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Erica Neubauer, Ed Kreis Jr., Elizabeth Canada, Sheila (Andy) Heinen, Mike (Angie), Mike (Rachel) Bruni, Katie (Ryan) Tiefenthaler, Kyle (Tracy), Curtis (Tiffany) and Cory; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Rady; brother, Tom Goeppert; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Shorty;" son, James "Bruno;" granddaughter, Tina Marie; brothers, Joe and Bob Goeppert; and sister, Marcella Hembel.
A funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Vineyard Community Church (1597 Highway V, Grafton) with the Rev. Pat Mulcahy presiding. Visitation will be at the church only Thursday, April 20, from 3 p.m. until the time of service (5 p.m.).
