Marion I. Winninghoff, 90Marion I. "Schimmel" Winninghoff, nee Meuschke, of West Bend died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at New Perspective at the age of 90. She was born Feb. 10, 1927, in the town of Farmington to the late William and Angela (nee Schoedel) Meuschke.

She attended Cheeseville Elementary School and then West Bend High School, graduating with the class of 1944. Immediately following high school graduation, she accepted a civil service secretarial position with the city of Chicago at the War Production Board. A short time later, she returned to West Bend, working several local jobs. For more than 25 years, she worked at Line Material/Bermico Co. After the company closed, she worked part time at Hydraulic Gear for a few years before her retirement.

On Aug. 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to Wallace Winninghoff.

Together, they enjoyed traveling, especially to Packers games.

Wallace predeceased July 18, 1988.

In her later years, she liked to spend her time watching football and baseball on TV, daily walks when the weather permitted, doing crossword puzzles and also watching TV quiz shows.

She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Women Of The Moose West Bend Chapter 732 and the Adrian Neubauer Post 8658 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, June Janous of Fond du Lac and Ruth Dreikosen of Campbellsport; eight grandchildren, Tim Janous, Terry (Barb) Janous, Jeanine (David) Guell, Annette Janous, Kay (Mike) Buss, Pam (Mike) Hintz, Craig (Jodi) Dreikosen and Rick (Kari) Dreikoson; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth; three sisters, Althea (Edwin) Kreif, Eunice (Hiram) Larson and Leola (Raymond) Possley; one sister-in-law, Theckla (Louis) Guth; and two brothers-inlaw, Joseph (Isabel) Winninghoff and Frank (Helen) Winninghoff.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with the Rev. Howard Kusler officiating.

Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 1-2:45 p.m.
