Gloria Monday, 83Gloria Monday, 83, of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, died Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Greenleaf Assisted Living in Thief River Falls.

Memorial service will be at a later date in Wisconsin Gloria Florance Bastian was born June 29, 1933, in West Bend, the daughter of Harvey and Erna (Saur) Bastian. She was baptized and confirmed in West Bend. She attended West Bend Elementary and graduated West Bend High School.

She grew up in the West Bend area and was united in marriage to Donald Monday. The couple lived at Wallace Lake, then moved to Campbellsport, where they dairy farmed. They moved back to West Bend where Gloria worked at Serigraph Sales, West Bend, and then worked at Starlite Tavern, West Bend. They moved to Lamartine and farmed there for years. Gloria then moved back to West Bend and lived with Gloria’s parents. Gloria took care of her parents and worked at the West Bend News. She moved to Minnesota to be close to her daughter and grandchildren.

Gloria enjoyed traveling and having fun. She loved fishing, listening and dancing to Polka music, having fun times with friends, knitting, going to the casino, and playing Bingo. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years, Gloria has taken care of lots of children through the foster parents program. She helped many families to raise their children and become good adults.

She is survived by a daughter, Dian Crapeau; grandchildren, Kimberly Anne Crapeau of Pueblo, Colorado, Cody John Crapeau of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and Caleb Phillip Crapeau of Bottineau, North Dakota; great-grandchildren, Tanner Crapeau, Ethan Crapeau and Ruby Crapeau, all Pueblo, Colorado, and Drake Crapeau of Bottineau, North Dakota; brothers, Curtis (wife Janet) Bastian of West Bend and Kenneth (wife Bernice) Bastian of West Bend; and sisters, Marilyn Weisner of Campbellsport and Donna Dahlinger of Eden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Monday; brother, Harvey "Sonny" (wife Susanne) Bastian Jr.; sister-in-law, Lois Bastian; and brothers- in-law, Marvin Weisner and Edward Dahlinger.
