Diane Roberts Mealey Clemens was born May 1, 1936, in Los Angeles and died April 16, 2017, in West Bend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Taylor Roberts and Beatrice Behling Roberts Standel; her first husband, Charles Mealey; her second husband, Hermann Clemens; her daughter Lynn; sister, Carole; and son-in-law, David.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Charles); her children, Cheryl and David (Ellen); son-in-law, Tom; stepchildren, Nancy (Lee) and Greg (Sasha); and 10 grandchildren.
Originally growing up in Akron, Ohio, Diane graduated from St. Vincentís High School and the University of Akron. She moved to the Cleveland area with her husband and raised three children. She served the community in several civic organizations, including as president of the League of Women Voters and as a reporter and managing editor of WestLife, a local newspaper. Diane married again and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, with her new family. She worked for the Charlotte magazine and later Presbyterian Hospital. In her later years, Diane moved to West Bend to be close to family here, where she ultimately passed away peacefully.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Adell.
A special thanks to the great staff of The Fields and Samaritan Health Center, along with Heartland Hospice who cared so much for Diane. She will be laid to rest with her parents at the Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron, Ohio.
