Peters Jr., 65|
May 31, 1951 — May 28, 2017
Raymond Wilfred Peters Jr. was born to eternal life Sunday, May 28, 2017, with family by his side.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother and father, Eleanor and Raymond Peters Sr., as well as his sister-in-law, Jean Peters, and brother-in-law, Joseph Kahlscheuer. He was the beloved father of Ginger
(Michael) Auchter and Jesse Peters; proud grandfather of Ava, Cole and Luke Auchter, and Jemma Peterson; and dear brother of Donna Kahlscheuer, Wayne (Lynn) Peters, Albert Peters, and Dennis (Nancy) Peters. He is further survived by many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ray was born May 31, 1951, in Hartford, and made his last home in Port Washington. He was a longtime employee of Menasha Corp. and Lakeside Foods and greatly enjoyed his hobbies and interests, including woodworking, collectibles, eagles, the Packers, golf, and spending time with his grandkids. Ray made the generous and selfless act of donating his body to research in the hopes that it could help get one step closer to finding a cure for cancer, and save others from the same fate. A memorial service to celebrate his life is planned for Friday, June 23, from 4-5 p.m. at St. John XXIII— St. Mary’s, 451 N. Johnson St., Port Washington. A dinner reception will follow immediately after.
Our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the great nurses and staff at Lasata Care Center for making his final months not just comfortable, but filled with laughter and comradery.
The fingers of cancer grasp many; in lieu of flowers, donations to the cancer research foundation that has impacted you or your loved ones are appreciated.
