Frederick E. Melius,
Nov. 25, 1926 — May 31, 2017
Frederick "Fritz" E. Melius, 90, passed away peacefully, at home, Wednesday, May 31, 2017. He was born Nov. 25, 1926, in the town of Polk to Christian and Bertha (nee Kurtz) Melius. Fritz went to a one room schoolhouse, Polk Dairy School, in Jackson. He enjoyed playing baseball in the Rock River League in his younger years. On May 31, 1958, he married Eva (nee Anderson) in a little Baptist church in Ackerville. He was a faithful member of Falls Baptist Church of Menomonee Falls, faithfully read his Bible every day and trusted in what the Lord had planned. He farmed his entire life and when most people retire, Fritz decided to be a security guard at the West Bend Co. for the next 20 years! In the later years, his wife, "Lin," was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and he lovingly cared and tried to meet her every need.
Fritz is survived by his wife, Eva "Lin;" children, Allan (Ruth), Joy (Ken) Landers and Kyeong (Don) Beebe; grandchildren, Andrew (Angela), Tanya (Ben) Maule, Brad, Linnea, Troy (Jena) Landers, Tim Landers, Lauren (Joel) Ang and Brandon Fischer; great-granddaughter, Ree Maule; brother, Arthur Melius; and brother-in-law, Birger Anderson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Fritz is preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Melius; siblings, Edward (Betsy), Harry (Doris), Marion (Howard) Kuhupt and Florence (Louie) Foerster; sister- in-law, Betsy Melius; and son-in-law, James Fischer.
