Carole M. Woltmann, 77 Carole M. Woltmann, “GG,” age 77, of Hartford, formerly of Hubertus, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. She was born in Greenfield on Sept. 12, 1939, to parents Alexander and Margaret (Pauers) Karczewski. Carole was a 1957 graduate of Pulaski High School. She worked as a cook for a number of years at Alpine Retreat and Corfu. She was united in marriage to Arvin Woltmann on Feb. 23, 1963, in Waukegan, Illinois.

Carole was an avid reader and enjoyed doing cross-stitch. She also enjoyed baking desserts and keeping busy with all the prep work for meals. Whether it was teaching her great-grandchildren to work jigsaw puzzles from the edges first or being a relentless board game player, Carole cherished her time with her family the most. She also loved playing cards and going up north camping. Also the family dogs, Sable, Coco and Joey, brought her great joy.

Carole is survived by daughters, Paula (Robert Jr.) Aprill, Lisa (Bryon) Messig and Laura Woltmann; son, Darrell (Kristine) Woltmann; grandchildren, Bryon, Andrew (Stephanie), Jacob and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Caeleb, Kayson and Skylar; and sisters, Charlotte Mecikalski and Marlene Neary. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carole is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Arvin.

Memorial service for Carole will be held at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford) on Sunday, July 9, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joel Boyd, pastor of St. Jacobi Congregational Church presiding. A time of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from noon until the time of service.
