Diane Whiteside, 70

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017, for Diane Whiteside (Queen Buttercup) at Mueller Funeral Home, W63 N527 Hanover Ave., Cedarburg, who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 8. Visitation will start at 11 a.m., service will be held at 1 p.m., burial will be at 2:15 p.m. at Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg.
Diane was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Port Washington, the daughter of Paul and Elenora Hafemann. She married Donald Richard Whiteside Sr. of Brown Deer on Aug. 14, 1965, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg.
Diane was actively involved with her church, Freedom Fellowship, Jackson, coordinating the annual Tea Party and many other activities. She volunteered with many projects, including Special Olympics, Possibility Playground and GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee. She was “Queen” of a Red Hatters Chapter. Diane’s passion was to spread the word of God; in doing that she published her first book, “Rhymes of Reason.” She was a devoted loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend to all. She loved poetry, cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, Garth Brooks and enjoyed time with family, three grand-dogs and friends.
Diane is survived by her loving husband Donald R. Whiteside Sr., her children Susan (Rob), Hollyann and Donald Jr. (Jennifer), 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, loving sisters Cynthia and Sylvia and younger brother Dale.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to GiGi’s Playhouse, Milwaukee.
