Dolores M. Freitag 'Mutz,'

Dolores “Mutz” Freitag, formerly of Grafton, passed away at Milan Estates in Saukville early Wednesday morning, July 26. She was 86 years old. Dolores was born in Saukville on Jan. 14, 1931, daughter of Raymond and Adelaide “Hattie” Thielen Rausch. On May 13, 1950, she was united in marriage with Harold “Smokey” Freitag at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville. The couple settled in Grafton and started their family. Harold preceded her in death in 2008.
Mutz worked as an assembler at Tecumseh Power Products in Grafton for many years, retiring in 1996. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing in her card club, gardening, volunteering at Family Sharing and spending time with family. She moved to Milan Estates in Saukville in 2014.
Mrs. Freitag is survived by her five children: Gail (Jim Stradal) Freitag of Crivitz, Connie Freitag of Saukville, Karen (Ron) Lemmer of Crivitz, Dean (Gina) Freitag of Grafton, and Sandy (Dave) Brunner of Fredonia, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way.
She is further survived by sister Stella (the late Chuck) Lauters of Pickerel, brother Albert “Abbie” Rausch of Saukville, brother-in-law Richard Schreiner of Cedarburg, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Mutz is preceded in death by her husband Harold, one brother Lawrence (the late Carol) Rausch, and sisters Rose (the late Wally) Ernisse, Betty (the late Orville) Biever, Agatha (the late Lou) Krupp and Margaret Schreiner.
A Liturgy of the Word service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 6 p.m. at St. John XXIII Parish – St. Peter of Alcantara Church, Port Washington. Deacon Tom Surges will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in Grafton. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday, July 28, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
