Tom C. Schneller, 90, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Aug. 19, 2017.
Born on Sept 17, 1926, in Mason City, Iowa, the only son of the late Harold and Blanche Schneller. Tom was married to Georgi Schneller; she preceded him in death in 1993.
Tom was a Navy veteran who served in both World War II and the Korean War. A graduate of University of Wisconsin with a mechanical engineering degree. He was a real estate broker, builder and developer in Milwaukee, Kohler, WI, Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Michiganís U.P. He started his career building single-family homes in Milwaukee. In 1968, he started buying land, subdividing and building A-frames and ski chalets at Big Powderhorn. Tom became V.P. of Real Estate Development for the Kohler Company in Kohler. He also resided in Milwaukee, Cedarburg and Rhinelander, then retired in Tucson, Ariz.
Tom is survived by his children, Lisa Schneller (John) Murphy of California, Susan Schneller of Colorado and Thomas L. (Arlene) Schneller of Michigan. In addition, heís survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He had a loving relationship with his longtime partner, Barbara Cain, who resides in Tucson, Ariz. Tomís family was grateful for Barbaraís caring nature; she was a blessing in Tomís life along with Tomís close friends in Milwaukee and Arizona.
Tom was an avid Packers fan, golfer, rock hound and loved traveling and dining out with Barbara. With his son and grandsons he enjoyed many fishing and hunting trips. Tom particularly loved seeing his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Colorado relatives, who attended his 90th surprise party in Arizona last September.
Out of respect for Tomís wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned.
