Ilona Fulop (nee Molnar), 85, went home to the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017. She was born in Kapuvar, Hungary, on Jan. 22, 1932, to parents Istvan and Ilona (nee Dukai) Molnar. Ilona was united in marriage Aug. 14, 1955, to Emery Fulop.
Ilona is survived by seven children, James (special friend, Maureen DeMilia) of Houston, Marianne (David) Bovee of Thiensville, Steven of Neoga, Illinois, Joseph (Patty) of Hartford, Thomas (Ann) of Normal, Illinois, Richard of Port Washington and Elizabeth Skowera of Hartford; grandchildren, Tony Szabo, Josef, Michael, Daniel, Peter, Nicholas, Rachael, Robert Neitzer, Benjamin, Mylah; Vincent, Izabella and Jade Skowera; brother-in-law, Lengyel Jozsef; and is further survived by other relatives and friends. Ilona is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Emery; and much-loved sister, Lengyel Erzsebet.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, (264 W. State St., Hartford) with the Rev. David LaPlante presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. Committal at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Newburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
