Noreen I. Burns, 89

Noreen I. Burns (nee Dobbert), 89, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at The Kathy Hospice of West Bend. Noreen was born July 28, 1928, in Milwaukee, the only child of Robert and Irene (nee Berner) Dobbert. She graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1946 and married William Leo Burns in May 1947.

Those Noreen leaves to cherish her memory include her children, Loxley (Gerald Little) of West Bend, Douglas (Carla) of Buckeye, Arizona, Carol (Beryl Bootzin) of Wauwatosa, Barbara (Ron Brown) of West Bend, Michael (Deb Siever) of Fitchburg, and Paul of West Bend; daughter-in-law, Janice Burns of Orlando, Florida; along with 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. She is further survived by favorite niece, Patty Koch of Tonawanda, New York, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sons-in-law, Kenneth Stirsman and James Schlosser; daughter-in-law, Pamela and son, Gary; and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the nurses, CNAs and staff of The Kathy Hospice for their care, concern and support to Noreen and her children.

A celebration of Noreen’s life will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, at the Apple Valley Gardens Club Room, N84 W16033 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Family and friends may visit between 1-4 p.m. Memories and stories will be shared. A light luncheon will be served.
