Annette Bartel, 49, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 11, 1968, in Hartford to Ralph and Barbara (Stippich) Bartel. After graduation from Hartford Union High School in 1986, she worked two years at Fox & Hounds, six years at Tetra Print as a plate maker, 16 years at Hallmark Dog Training Supplies and, most recent, at Slick Herb Farms. She most enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and her beloved pets.
Annette leaves behind her parents, Ralph and Barbara; sister, Brenda (fiancé Doug Roe) Bartel of Iron Ridge; brother, Jeffrey Bartel of Hartford; nephews, Brandon (friend Beth) Bartel of Hustisford and Tyler Newman of Iron Ridge; nieces, Brittany and Lily Newman of Iron Ridge; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Annette is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Lillian Bartel, and Bernard and Betty Stippich.
A memorial service for Annette will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford with the Rev. Sharon Stier presiding. Visitation for family and friends is from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Committal to follow the service at Faith UCC, Slinger.
