Chester H. Koepke, 97 Chester H. Koepke, 97, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. He was born on May 18, 1920, to August and Anna (nee Zinkann) Koepke in North Fond du Lac. On Feb. 18, 1944, he married June Averbeck in Fond du Lac.

Chester began his career as an apprentice machinist with Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Co. in Fond du Lac where he worked for almost 20 years. Then the family moved to Grafton. Chester worked for Tecumseh Corp. as the head of inspection over the engine divisions for the remaining years of his career. He loved fishing, was a devoted Packers fan, loved traveling in the family camper, enjoyed golfing into his 90s, but especially loved spending time with his family.

Chester is survived by his wife, June; his son, Michael, and son-in-law, Nelson Berg; grandchildren, Rebecca and Kathryn Koepke; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jolinda Berg; great-grandchildren, Summit, Elle, and Miles; step-great-grandchildren, Caroline, Sydney, Sara and Izzybelle; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Patricia Koepke, and his siblings.

Funeral services for Chester will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Fifth Avenue Methodist Church (323 S. Fifth Ave., West Bend) with the Rev. Amy Anderson and the Rev. Wes Falk co-officiating.

Visitation will be at the church Sunday, Dec. 3, from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
