Michael W. Spaeth
Michael W. Spaeth of Mayville, formerly of West Bend, died on Monday,
Dec. 11, 2017, at the age of 75 years. He was born on April 21, 1942, in
the town of Polk to the late Lawrence and Margaret (nee Melder) Spaeth.
As a child, he attended Holy Angels Grade School. For many years, he
worked at the Threshold doing various jobs.
For 23 years, he lived at Meadowbrook Manor and other area group homes.
For five years, he lived with Dawn and Steve Goralski, who became family
friends. Since June of this year, he has been a resident at Touchstone
Living Care in Mayville.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters: Mildred Theisen of West
Bend, Ethel Weninger of Jackson, Irene Schellinger of Slinger, Joseph
(Betty) of West Bend, Charles (Barbara) of West Bend, Edward (Patricia)
of West Bend, Lawrence A. (Alice) of Jackson and Daniel (Mary) of
Franksville; one sister- in-law, Donna Spaeth of Jackson; many nieces
and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rita
Beder, one brother, David, and four brothers-in-law, Oscar Beder, Louis
Theisen, Joseph Weninger and Fred Schellinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 15, at noon at
Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Heppe presiding.
Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. The family will greet
relatives and friends during a period of visitation at the church on
Friday from 10-11:45 a.m.
