Thomas F. Osberg

Thomas F. “Tom” Osberg went home to Jesus on Dec. 18, 2017, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years, Diane; children, Debbie (Jeff) Lehnerz, Christie, Eric (Renee Sinopoli), and Ted (Cindy Kuhl) Osberg; Melissa (Billy Thomas) Carter and Deanna (Linna) Hung; grandchildren, Brittany (Chad) Mowery, Michael Lehnerz, Amanda Lehnerz, Daniel Osberg, Eleanor and Henry Osberg, Zac and Zoe Osberg, Andrew (Nathan) Rymer, Megan Carter (Tyler Newby), and Isaiah, Asher, Esther and Anika Hung; and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Thomas Jackson (TJ) Mowery, and Addi Mae Newby. Tom is further survived by his brother, Bob (Rosemary) Osberg; former wife, Rose Osberg; and relatives and friends.

Tom served as a cook in the Wisconsin National Guard and was a true patriot. Throughout his life he loved cooking for gatherings and never let anyone leave his table hungry. He loved the challenge and camaraderie of golf. After retiring from Maysteel in Mayville, he served as a golf course grounds crew member and then went to school for tax preparation, a winter job he enjoyed for many years. Tom loved cheering on his Packers.

Above all Tom loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus, and expressed that love to all in his willingness to come alongside, mentor, support, love unconditionally and serve throughout his life. Tom’s personality reflected his faith, and he will be remembered as Spirit-filled, welcoming, helpful, caring and friendly — someone you trusted for guidance. His spirit will live on in all whose lives he touched. His support, love and spiritual guidance remain a legacy and example for all.

Visitation will be held at Kettlebrook Community Center (2378 W. Washington St., West Bend) on Friday, Dec. 22, from 4-6 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tom’s memory to Kettlebrook West Bend or a charity of your choice.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring, loving staff of Heartland Hospice.
