Tom served as a cook in the Wisconsin National Guard and was a true
patriot. Throughout his life he loved cooking for gatherings and never
let anyone leave his table hungry. He loved the challenge and
camaraderie of golf. After retiring from Maysteel in Mayville, he served
as a golf course grounds crew member and then went to school for tax
preparation, a winter job he enjoyed for many years. Tom loved cheering
on his Packers.
Above all Tom loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus, and expressed that love
to all in his willingness to come alongside, mentor, support, love
unconditionally and serve throughout his life. Tom’s personality
reflected his faith, and he will be remembered as Spirit-filled,
welcoming, helpful, caring and friendly — someone you trusted for
guidance. His spirit will live on in all whose lives he touched. His
support, love and spiritual guidance remain a legacy and example for
